The hallways and passageways were littered with treasures of gold and jewels. But reminders of those who had gone before, and tried to steal those treasures, were equally obvious. Skeletal remains and hanging skulls were not-so-subtle reminders of past explorers who had sought El Diamante de Dios, the diamond that ruled the Temple. Spears was not intimidated by the warnings carved into the walls. they only intrigued him more.
Intruder
James Spears realized the large Stone Sun Calendar was the key to the secret of the diamond and the Temple's treasures. He sent his men ahead to explore while he deciphered the Calendar's cryptic code. But one small error in his interpretation signaled doom for Spears and his men. The Calendar revolted, sensing an intruder within its halls. What happened next hit like a bolt of lightening.
Just as the steel of an excavation member's pick axe sparked against the stone walls of the Temple, a blinding beam of light shot through the crumbling rock, instantly reducing the workers to a puff of smoke and dust.
Blinding beams radiated from the Sun Goddess's golden wings. Nature's elements arose in a fury, light beams tearing through stone walls, howling winds blowing down entire rooms, flowing waters causing stone gods to cry in pain. The Diamond had been discovered. and stolen.

Mayan Temple

Explorer James Leroy Spears had barely unpacked from a year-long expedition to Antarctica when he received word of a newly discovered Mayan ruin deep in the jungle of Central America. Stories of "La Piedra que Alcansa el Cielo" . or "The Stone that Reaches the Sky". intrigued Spears until he could no longer deny his insatiable urge to explore the unknown. Spears, his wife and a cadre of assistants embarked on a journey that would exceed even the imagination of this world-famous explorer.
Treasure Seekers
Recruiting members for his team was not hard. Reports of entire rooms full of gold and treasure were only eclipsed by the legend of a diamond whose size and radiance had never been seen by modern man's eyes. But the treasure map Spears acquired was criss-crossed with skulls and warnings. Any man who sought to take the treasures as his own is forewarned. The Temple will protect its treasure!
After a month-long journey through the thick jungle, Spears and his crew arrived at the final mark on their map. They were finally standing at the foot of Alcalna Falls. Across the river, an enormous mountain of stone. the elusive Pyramid of the Sun.
James Spears and his men set up camp at the foot of the waterfall. After several weeks of preparation, they had built a bridge across the river and were ready for their next step. entry into the pyramid. and discovery of what promises to be unspeakable treasure.
Do Not Enter
There's a clear warning not to enter this Temple. As you cross the bridge, you'll see the Mayan God high atop the Pyramid, with a bloody warning to stay out. But Spears and his crew. and you. forge on.
Overgrown with thick roots, the entrance is nearly hidden. Lit by a dim lantern, Spears delves deeper, observing writings and scripts telling of both gods and rulers that have laid claim to the Temple. Ancient etchings and glyphs describe a great ruler named Pacal buried there, a beautiful Sun Goddess, and rooms celebrating the four great elements of nature.
